Stumpf incorporates her photographs, as well as found images, by way of a gel medium transfer process, and sometimes a solvent-based version, to create her mixed-media pieces. She often layers thin applications of reactive iron oxide paint over the transfers. These works are made on wood panels, canvas, and paper.
