START WITH A PHOTOGRAPH
The source image can be almost anything—a family photograph, a place, a person, an object, or an image you’ve made yourself.
Older photographs can be especially interesting, but contemporary images work beautifully too.
What matters most is the image itself: its composition and atmosphere.

I use a hand-applied image-transfer process to move the photograph onto a prepared surface.
The image is transferred and worked by hand, allowing subtle shifts, variations, and imperfections to become part of the finished piece.
The result is not a photographic print or reproduction. It is an original artwork made from your photograph.

Because the image is transferred and worked by hand, every commission develops its own surface and character.
Subtle variations in the image, texture, edges, and layers are part of the process—and part of what makes each work original.
