ASSEMBLED PAINTING
Stumpf is known for her unconventional use of materials in creating her intricately layered paintings, which are among her most significant works. These rich compositions incorporate a diverse range of elements, including artificial flowers, antique wallpaper, a rusted wheelbarrow, pieces from a broken chandelier, a found book that appears to have been run over, jewelry from deceased family members, unraveled rope, hand-torn paper and board, childhood toys and dresses, and even animal bones.
